Colombo Stock Exchange saw its turnover reaching Rs. 5.3 billion during trading today with the number of trades at the CSE reaching over 30,000.
Environmental Resources were the major contributor to the day’s turnover with Rs. 1.88 billion coming in following the selling of both warrants and normal shares.

Sri Lanka’s inflation during the month of July has slowed down to 4.3%, the 5th straight consecutive monthly decline for the year.

The weekly primary auction held by the Central Bank today saw the 1 year Treasury bill been sold at an interest rate of 9%, the first time the rate stood at that level since 7 years.
