India’s Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao today ended her 2 day fact finding mission to Sri Lanka which primarily focused on the Northern region.

Treasury bill rates continue to slide down further with the 1 year rate at the weekly auction held today declining to 7.87% from last weeks 8.08%.

Sri Lanka’s trade deficit during the 1st half of 2010, has widened by 108.6% thus recording a deficit of US$ 2.8 billion compared to just US$ 1.36 billion during the 1st half of 2009.
