SL – China firms sign deal to build 10 MW Dendro plant

Mega Ten a Sri Lankan firm and a Chinese state entity signed an agreement on Thursday to build a 10 MW Dendro power plant in Sri Lanka.
The agreement was signed in Colombo
Dendro power is generated out of fuel wood (gliricidia) which can be easily grown in the country.

Senegal’s Diarietou Gaye to be World Bank’s Sri Lanka Country Director

The World Bank is expected to replace its Country Director in Sri Lanka starting from the 1st of January, 2011.
