Sri Lanka’s listed Seylan Bank has appointed President’s counsel Mohan Pieris as its new Chairman.
The appointment comes into effect from today the 20th April.
Pieris will also function as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank.
The latest appointment comes as Eastman Narangoda who was holding the position of Chairman in the Bank, resigned recently.
The potential of China losing US$ 8.5 billion worth of apparel exports during this year owing to high cost is expected to help Sri Lanka’s apparel sector, says a newly compiled equity report.
