Your headline gives the appearance that you are surprised that Hemas has appointed a FEMALE to head its transport arm. Is it that you thought of Hemas as an antiquated group that had not as yet woken up to the fact that females are just as capable of leadership as males? Or are you surprised at the appointment because the group is headed by a Muslim family and the appointment of a female to a leadership role is unusual for such companies? Ms. Wilson’s record indicates clearly that she has the capabilities to lead and has proved it in the past. That has nothing to do with gender. It has everything to do with personal qualities and you should try to avoid such thoughtless and insensitive classifications.
I agree with Rajini… Your headline reeks of gender bias and insensitivity.
You wouldn’t say, “Commercial Bank appoints a male as Chairman”, would you?
