Sri Lanka’s Haycarb PLC has acquired a 50% ownership of Shizuka Copany Limited, a Thailand based activated Carbon manufacturer.
Haycarb in a stock market disclosure says this acquisition was done through Carbokarn Company Limited of Thailand which Haycarb PLC holds 50% of the ordinary share capital.
According to Haycarb, Carbokarn has acquired the total issued share capital of Shizuka Company Limited.
With this acquisition, Haycarb’s installed manufacturing capacity will be increased by nearly 10%.
Haycarb PLC is a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC and is a leading producer of coconut shell-based activated carbon.
It has manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Indonesia with marketing offices based in UK, Australia and USA.
