SriLankan Jaffna Branch opening

Sri Lanka’s national carrier opened a fully fledged regional branch in the once war ridden Jaffna Peninsular.

The office which was opened today, is fully equipped to handle reservations, ticketing, Prepaid Ticket Advices, requests for special services, information on fares, schedules and packages.

“SriLankan is pleased to extend its services to support the development and enhancement of the North, which is one of the highest priorities of the government”, SriLankan’s Chairman, Nishantha Wickremasinghe was quoted saying in a statement issued by the Airline.

“We are also aware of the great potential for growth in the region”, said G. T. Jayaseelan, Chief Marketing Officer of the Airline.

SriLankan believes the increasing customer base for air travel to and from the northern region, will help expand the size of the airline’s local market.
