(News360.lk) Sri Lanka has decided to permit foreign owned companies registered under the market regulator as “margin providers” to lend credit to investors of the Colombo Stock Exchange.
Central Bank says this move will help develop the business of margin providing and also increase market activity by helping investors to have more access to finance.
Colombo Stock Exchange started the trading week by making gains as the ASPI moved up by 0.53% to end the day at 5,755 point range.
The momentum was led by the Banking sector.
