Citrus Leisure subsidiaries raise finance to build hotel projects

Two newly formed subsidiaries of Citrus Leisure PLC have raised a combined sum of Rs. 923.5 million via two private placements to build separate hotel projects in Kalpitiya and Waskaduwa.
Accordingly the Waskaduwa Beach Resort Limited, an arm of the Citrus Leisure has raised Rs. 520 million by issuing 52 million shares at Rs. 10 each.

National Development Bank has appointed Businessman Asoka Pathirage as a Director of the Bank.
The appointment is effective from the 18th of February.

The All Share Price Index of the Colombo Stock Exchange gained 2.97% to close the day at 7,811.82 points.
The MPI depreciated marginally by 0.15% to close at 7,248.81 points.

HVA Foods shares to start trading

HVA Foods Limited will trade its shares in the Colombo Stock Exchange starting from tomorrow.
Accordingly 66,428,660 ordinary voting shares will be listed in the Diri Savi Board of the Colombo Bourse.

A new stockbroker

The Colombo Stock Exchange announced today that it has admitted Claridge Stockbrokers (Pvt) Limited as a trading member of the CSE.
Accordingly, Claridge started trading securities at the CSE with effect from today.
With this admission the number of Stock brokering firms  operating in the Colombo Stock Exchange has gone up to 25.

Union Bank to issue shares to the public

The Colombo Stock Exchange in principal has approved an application forwarded by the Union Bank to list its ordinary shares in the main board.
The Bank plans to raise Rs. 375 million by issuing 15 million ordinary .
