Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill rates declines

CBSL conducts the weekly auction

Sri Lanka’s weekly Treasury bill auction held today saw rates of all tenor bills moving downwards.

The short term three month bills moved down by 3 basis points from last weeks rate to stand at 11.41% while the six month rate saw the biggest decline of 21 basis points to come down to 12.91%.

The one year rate also moved down by 6 basis points to stand at 13.36% from the previous weeks 13.30%.

The auction received bids running up to Rs. 27.09 billion while the Central Bank has only accepted Rs. 7.60 billion to settle Rs. 7 billions worth of maturing treasury bills.
