Sri Lanka raises fuel prices

Sri Lanka raised the prices of Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene with effect from midnight yesterday.

Accordingly, a liter of 90 Octane Petrol has been raised by Rs. 12 to be sold at Rs. 149 a liter.

A liter of 95 Octane Petrol has been raised by Rs. 12 to be sold at Rs. 167 a liter.

A Diesel litre has been hiked by Rs. 31 and will be sold at Rs. 115 a liter, while a Kerosene liter has been hiked to Rs. 106, from Rs. 70 it stood before the price hike.

The price increases will be applied by both the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and the Lanka IOC, the only two retail fuel suppliers in the country.
