
Warden of S. Thomas’ College J.C. Puddefoot with the Head prefect of the college launches the wi-fi installation.
Sri Lanka’s privately run St. Thomas’ College of Mount Lavinia has established one of the largest wi-fi zones in the country.
Accordingly, the college has established 40 wireless access points across its premises thus enabling quality wi-fi coverage for the entire institution.
With this initiative, the college aims to help the education activities of its 2650 students and also be a supporting tool for teachers, parents, old boys and the school administration.
The College says the wi-fi facility will help the education institution to enable parents have online access to student progress and regularly interact with teachers at school etc.
Speaking at the launch, the warden of the College, Rev. J.C. Puddefoot said, “We’re proud to establish this comprehensive, cost-effective and campus-wide ICT infrastructure as a foundation to e-enable S. Thomas’ College.
