Kotler meets President
The World Renowned Marketing Guru Professor Philip Kotler who was on a visit to Sri Lanka met President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Saturday.
Later in the day Kotler addressed the big wigs of Sri Lanka’s corporate sector at a conference held at the Waters Edge in Colombo.
Books written by Kotler, such as “Marketing Management”, “Principles of Marketing” and also “Marketing: An Introduction” are widely read around the world by students and marketing professionals.
IBM, Michelin, Bank of America, Merck, General Electric, Honeywell, Samsung, Coca Cola and Hyundai are some of the global firms who have sought Kotler’s advice on marketing.

Several local marketing professionals accompanied Kotler to his meeting with the President.
This is Kotler’s first visit to Sri Lanka.
