Colombo Stock Exchange has changed the composition of the firms included in the Milanka Price Index, under its latest revision.

Accordingly, the CSE has brought in six firms and excluded an equal number of companies from the MPI composition.

The new list will be applicable during the second half of the year 2012.

Accordingly, starting from 1st of July, Browns Investments PLC, East West Properties PLC, Expolanka Holdings PLC, Janashakthi Insurance PLC, Lanka Orix Finance Company PLC, Nation Lanka Finance PLC, have been included in the MPI list.

While Aitken Spence PLC, DFCC Bank, Distilleries Company of Sri Lanka, Hatton National Bank, Lanka Orix Leasing Company, LB Finance PLC and Royal Ceramics Lanka PLC have been excluded from the list.

Milanka Price Index consist the 25 most capitalized firms in the Colombo Stock Exchange, and is revised every half a year.
