GlaxoSmithKline, a multinational firm commissioned work at its newly built pharmaceutical production facility in Moratuwa which will produce Panadol brand paracetamol.
The commissioning of the plant took place yesterday, with the participation of several government ministers including the Minister of Health Maithreepala Sirisena.
The Company has invested a sum of Rs. 217 million to establish this plant.
Managing Director of GSK Consumer Healthcare division T.S. Dayananda says, the new company is one of the firm’s historic projects in Sri Lanka.
Minister Basil Rajapaksa and Minister Jeewan Kumaratunga also were present at the occasion.
