Indian police arrests 4 people who were trying to smuggle heroin to Sri Lanka

Indian police have captured four persons including a Sri Lankan when they were attempting to smuggle one kilogram of heroin to Sri Lanka.

The suspects have made the attempt from Vedaranyam of South India during yesterday.

Indian police have acted on a tip off and found one  kilogram of heroin worth around Rs. 2 crore in possession with the suspects.

According to the Indian media reports the police action has taken place when the suspects were about to smuggle the drug to Sri Lanka.

The arrest has been done by the ‘Q’ branch of the Indian police.
