A Sri Lankan, who is a kingpin of a gang which smuggled narcotic drugs to Sri Lanka has been sent to jail for 20 years, while two of his accomplices have been given 10-year jail terms each.
All three Sri Lankans have been nabbed by the Narcotics Control Bureau of India in the year 2004 for their involvement in trafficking heroin.
The prime accused whose name is Sri Skandaraja and 38 years of age has been jailed for 20 years.
Ranganathan Prabakaran (45 years) and N. Kandipan (27) have been given 10 years of jail terms, each.
