Sea Trade Young Person of the Year

Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority Dr. Priyath B. Wickrama has been chosen as the “Sea Trade Young Person” of the year at the Sea trade Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards 2011.

Wickrama received the award recently at a special ceremony held in Dubai.

The Sea trade Middle East & Indian Subcontinent Awards is an event designed to celebrate and reward the excellence and innovation achieved in the maritime sector across the region over a period of one year.

The award ceremony is also renowned as the ‘Oscars’ of the maritime world. 

More than 25 countries across the Middle East, Europe and Asia participated in this years event.
