Sanath picked for SLPL at a value of US$ 35,000

Sanath Jayasuriya, the former Sri Lankan opener was one of the top picks out of six local players to be valued at the maximum price of Rs. 35,000 for the upcoming SLPL.

The 43 year old veteran was picked by Kandurata in the ninth round of the auction.

Dinesh Chandimal, Chamara Kapugedera, Thisara Perera, Rangana Herath and Nuwan Kulasekera were the rest of the top picks.

Former Sri Lanka paceman Chaminda Vaas was picked by Wayamba for a value of US$ 25,000.

SLPL is scheduled to start during the month of August.
