sex scandal hits Sri Lanka Cricket

The Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket on Saturday has held a emergency meeting in relation to media reports alleging sex scandals at the SLC head office.

Issuing a statement, Sri Lanka Cricket says it takes serious note of these allegations which also tarnishes the good image and the reputation of Sri Lanka Cricket.

It also says, “SLC as an institution shall not condone any such acts of misconduct if proven correct, and will take  all steps which are necessary to bring the culprits to book”.

SLC also says on the contrary, if such allegations are found to be false, SLC will also take steps to ensure that  such persons who made these allegations are brought before the Disciplinary Committee for appropriate action.

According to the SLC, the matter has been handed over to the Disciplinary Committee of the institution for immediate inquiry into the alleged incident.
