Minister of Sports opens the new Sports Hostel

Sri Lanka today opened a newly built Sports Hostel in Colombo, which will provide accommodation to sportsmen and women coming from the outstation areas.

Ministry of Sports says the new facility is able to provide accommodation to nearly 140 sportsmen and women.

The hostel also has space to accommodate 20 sports officials.

The Rs. 244 million worth much needed facility also consists of a fully equipped indoor stadium.

Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage declared opened the new facility with the participation of senior sports officials.

Olympic Medalist Susanthika Jayasinghe was also present during the occasion.
