Pakistan Cricket Board has given clearance to all the players signed up to play in the next months inaugural Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL) to skip the training camp for the Australian tour to play in the league.
Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Imran Nazir, Misbah-ul-Haq, Saeed Ajmal, Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shahzad, Younis Khan, Umar Gul are among the Pakistani players signed up to take part in the upcoming SLPL.
Sri Lankan and Pakistani cricketing authorities have already signed a bilateral agreement, agreeing to facilitate each others domestic T20 tournament.
SLPL will commence in August while seven franchises are expected to compete in this tournament.
All the franchises were purchased by the Indian firms while over 50 international players are listed to take the field during the tournament.
SLPL once in action will be slated alongside famous tournaments such as IPL, BPL, Australia’s Big bash etc.
