Sri Lankans were 70 runs for the loss of one wicket, before rain interrupted the 3rd days proceedings of the ongoing second test match played against Pakistan.
Pakistani’s who were asked to bat by the Lankan skipper after winning the toss scored a massive total of 556 runs for the loss of six wickets, before declaring their first innings this morning.
With a mammoth challenge ahead of them, the Lankans saw opener Tharanga Paranavitana back in the pavilion for a duck.
However, Kumar Sangakkara, who joined T.M. Dilshan when the score was 11 for the loss of one wicket, helped the home team reach 70, before rain interrupted the game.
At the time of the interruption, Dilshan was unbeaten on 46 while Sangakkara remained on 22.
