BCCI selects the Indian team for the SL tour

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has announced the 15 man squad for the team’s upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

However, star batsman Sachin Tendulkar has opted out of the tour, while selectors have brought in the IPL star Ajinkya Rahane  to the squad.

India will play five one day games and two T20 games against the Lankans in the upcoming tour, which will start on the 21st of July.

The Indian squad goes as follows:

Indian Squad: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt), Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, R Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Ashok Dinda, Suresh Raina, Vinay Kumar, Rohit Sharma, Pragyan Ojha, Ajinkya Rahane, Manoj Tiwary, Rahul Sharma.
