Pakistan having given a mammoth target of 510 runs to win the first test played against Sri Lanka, were struggling at 36 for 3 at the close of the third day’s play.

Earlier in the day, the Pakistani’s were all out for just 100 runs in their first innings in reply to 472 runs scored by the Lankans in their first innings.

Lankans, despite having a first innings lead of 372 runs against Pakistan, decided to bat in their second innings.

Thereafter, the home team scored 137 runs for the loss of five wickets and declared their innings thus giving the visitors a massive target of 510 runs to win the game.

Pakistani’s who are batting now, doesn’t look like they will go the distance as the visitors once again saw a top order collapse, losing three wickets for just 36 runs.

Nuwan Kulasekera removed the opening pair while Rangana Herath also grabbed a wicket.

Tomorrow is the 4th day of the game played at Galle.
