The Sacred Kapilavastu Relics

The sacred Kapilavastu relics which were brought from India on the 19th of August were on a special exposition for all Sri Lankans to offer worship.

Millions of Sri Lankans offered worship to the sacred relics, which contain the bone fragments of Buddha excavated in Kapilavastu of India.

The relics were brought to Sri Lanka after three decades since its first exposition in the Island way back in 1978.

After a countrywide exposition, the relics were taken back to India during yesterday.
