Sri Lanka’s Sampath Bank has awarded Rs. 1.75 million of cash awards to thirty six beneficiaries of customers who have remitted money via Sampath e-remittance during the month of April.
Accordingly, Mrs. Claris Enos has won the first prize of Rs. 500,000.
Five others has won Rs 100,00 each.
The rest of the 30 benefiaciaries who were the daily winners has been given Rs. 25,000 each.
A Bank spokesman said that Sampath Cash Wasi was one of the key draws with huge cash rewards introduced by a bank in Sri Lanka for e-remittance customers to reward their loyalty.
E-remittances service offered by Sampath Bank is available across the world via 42 agent companies.
The beneficiary can withdraw the money remitted to his or her account over the counter from 209 Sampath branches spread across the Island.
The Bank’s DGM Marketing & Business Development Tharaka Ranwala, Kusal De Silva, Manager – remittance operations and Upul Nawarathne Bandara, Senior Manager, Marketing were among the ones present during the award ceremony.
